Try How to Boot a Mac Into Safe Mode and if you get a successful boot, shut it down normally and then restart it. Hopefully that may resolve the issue. It maybe a good idea to also reset the PRAM & SMC. If the issue still occurs then there maybe an issue with the OS itself which will require a clean install of the system, so IF your able to get into safe mode then grab as many files as you can and copy them to an external drive. Or better still with time machine. (BUT a time machine backup from a potentially damaged OS may not be a great idea as when importing back, any corrupted files may be brought over as well when attempting to reinstall from it. I suggest a clean install for safety. Hope that helps and there is no deeper issue causing this situation.

It sounds like your MacBook is experiencing a kernel panic or sudden shutdown right after login, which can be triggered by hardware or software issues.

Can you explain what happened before your system stopped working. Did it get wet, dropped or banged or something heavy pressed on it?
Is the case distorted in any way? Did you leave something on the keyboard area where the display or the chin plate get damaged?
Does the system stay running if you don't enter the password?

How do or did you shutdown your system? What apps were open at the time? I ask this because if some apps were open with edited documents and it was force shut down then the app and docs can get corrupted and this can possibly trigger some kernal panics on restart......
