I've never done a 4S before but I've been doing some research and noticed the home button gasket. I am going to repair my friend's 4s screen and I'm wondering if I can pull out the home button from the cracked screen and transfer it over to a new 4s screen? thanks!

Yes You can do this very easily. You can put this into any other 4s

How important is the gasket? I left mine out because it stopped being sticky and now it needs to be pushed down hard to get a response. Any idea whether it is because the gasket is needed or another issue?
