you need a firewire cable, and a computer with a firewire port. More specificlly, you need a 6-Pin Male to 6-Pin Male FireWire 400 cable. Most macs made from 2000 to 2006 have at least one firewire 400 port, if you have a PC, you will need a firewire port, a firewire expansion card, or an adapter such as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-Male-to-6-Pin-Fi...

Oh right, this one was just a regular FW 400 port, those are available practically everywhere

Unfortunately iFixit does not carry this cable, however you can find a lot from various other vendors

So actually you just need any generic 6 pin to 6pin FW 400 cable
and a place to plug it in, most pc's even my PC I built 1-2 years ago doesn't have a firewire 400 port
And here's a link to one you can get from apple.
If it's a PC that can be a problem, but a lot of Dells include and have included FW ports, in which case I believe there are all sorts of FW->USB adapters etc.
There are also a lot of PCI firewire expansion cards out there, but almost every G3, G4, and G5 mac has at least one firewire 400 port, and almost all intel macs have a firewire 800 port, or a 400 port (Except the MacBook).
