What it means if my laptop stops working and blinks red and blue
It started smoking a small strand after i saw and touched what i thought was a melted something at first but may have been a wire then it turned off randomly the monitor switched off first but the keyboard kept working and showing light while the screen stayed off. P.s prior to this one corner of the laptop was pryed open by the hinges underneath so dust may have entered.

To get this right:
- The laptop started smoking (a little bit), after touching a wire
- Something was melted, what and where did it melt?
- One (or both) hinge has torn open the chassi/laptop bottom?
- The screen is not lighting up
If you hook up your laptop to an external display, do you see anything?
