3G stopping in 2026 will my phone still be ok?
I have a Nokia 1600 pay as you go, will i still be able to make and receive calls? also send and receive texts? when 3G stops in 2026.

Most carriers have already discontinued 3G networks to replace it with 4G/5G.
You may not be able to make and receive calls or texts anymore. You can still other features, but using these modes mentioned above may be impossible. You could buy a new phone, but if you want to keep your current phone, then ok.

Depends on the country - we shut it down years ago in the US and blocked them years ahead of time. Nobody has 2G service left in the US. That said, short of replacing it not much can be done. The good thing is you can buy basic flip phones which are factory unlocked, and you should just be able to drop your SIM in - you might need to cut it or order a replacement if they deactivate old SIM cards, but as an immediate fix most GSM carriers do not block new phones in most countries - eSIM means you need to reload the SIM and they have to issue a new one, but pSIMs can be swapped at will.
