I replaced the battery on a 2021 MacbookPro. Now, I have functionality, but the cursor/trackpad will suddenly runaway, and/or click in rapid fashion. I have to use a key to stop it. I will recheck cables and connection tapes, but if anyone else has any ideas please let me know.

Sounds like the solvent got into the trackpad sensor area. See if an incandescent light. Can warm up the pad to evaporate the solved from within the trackpad. If that fails you may need to replace it. Some people forget to take out the trackpad when they do the Battery.

Try a SMC & PRAM reset and also check in the setting for Track Pad & Mouse click & tracking speeds.

Update: SMC gets reset automatically and PRAM I did. No change. I figured out it's not the trackpad but the cursor keys. The right and up keys are not working right. Up key gets activated. I cleaned them, checked the keyboard connection. Can't find anything.
