Why does the heat work but not the fan?
I know that the fan works because I unsoldered it and plugged it into an outlet. Upon reconnecting it, it again did not work... either in HEAT setting or FAN setting. What next to check?

Hi @mikegnazzo
Disconnect the power to the unit and then use a DMM's (digital multimeter) Ohmmeter function to check if the Heat/Off/Fan switch is OK when testing directly across the switch terminals when the switch is in the Fan and also the Heat position.
Here's the ifixit Royal Heat RS-100 Power/Fan Switch Replacement guide that will help to gain access to the switch terminals

Thanks for your help. I tester the switch and it works properly. For my knowledge, when this unit is working perfectly, does the fan turn on immediately when it's in heat mode, or does it have to reach an operating temperature first and THEN cycle on?
