To replace the coil pack on a 2000-2007 Mazda Tribute, first disconnect the battery, then remove the engine cover if applicable. Next, locate the coil packs, disconnect the electrical connectors, unbolt the coil packs, and replace them with new ones, ensuring to reconnect everything properly before reattaching the battery. There may be youtube videos.

@frankburks cylinder 1,2 and 3 are on the "back" side of the V6 engine and are a PITA to get to but it's doable. Remember that your Tribute is a rebadged Ford Escape. Just use the chapter that deals with the 2000 2007 Ford Escape Mazda Tribute 3.0L V6 Ignition Coil from the FSM that deals with the ignition coils i.e. LH will be the front side and RH the back side.
You may also need this 2000 2007 Ford Escape Mazda TRibute 3.0L V6 Upper Intake Manifoldsince you will need to remove the upper intake manifold to get to coils 1,2 and 3.
