Before beginning this repair, make sure to turn off your vehicle and wait 10 minutes for it to cool down.
Use the socket wrench with a 10mm socket to loosen the bolts on the guard that sits on top of the battery.

Unhook the hooks that are on the side towards the bottom of the battery. Pull the guard off of the top of the battery.

Using the same socket, loosen the two bolts until you can pull the terminals off of the battery and out of the way.

Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
Grab the handle over the middle of the old battery and pull it out of the car and set it off to the side.

Place the new battery in the same spot as the old one. Make sure the connections for the terminals are in the correct spot to reconnect. the two connections should be towards the left if you are facing the car.

After making sure all parts are secured on the battery. the car is ready to go! Dispose of the battery at your nearest auto parts store or at your city dump.
