If the headlight bulb in your 2002 Toyota Solara burns out or becomes damaged, use this guide to successfully replace the headlight bulb.
Before completing this guide, be sure to check that the bulb does in fact need to be changed by turning on the headlights. Double check to see if the bulb simply came loose or that the electrical connector attached to the back of the bulb disconnected.
Step 6 requires you to remove the burned out or damaged headlight bulb. From there, you will replace it with a new headlight bulb and make sure you insert it correctly.
Before beginning, make sure your engine is not running, your car is turned off, and your headlights are not on.

Open the hood of the car by pulling the tab near the driver side floor.

Locate where to access the bulb.

Remove the electrical connector by placing index finger underneath and thumb on top, pulling with steady force until it is disconnected.

Release the headlight bulb by turning the housing counterclockwise and pulling until the bulb is released. Once removed, replace the headlight bulb.
