    • Open the door in the driver position, and down where the pedals are you will see the stop pedal system.

    • You will see that there is a missing part because the pedal should push completely a white button so the break backlights can turn off. This missing part is called the pedal stopper pad.

    • If it touches the button in this position, the back lights will detect that the car is not braking, so the lights will turn off.

Заключение

Now that you have followed these steps to fix the system, you can drive safely and without worries. They are simple steps that require a lot of handwork and patience, but they are worth it. Fixing the things on our own is really important because you learn something new, and you can help others if they are having the same problem. Even if it is not the same car model, you have the idea to analyze the brake system and check if it is the same problem.

I think in STEP 5 you should push the plastic piece so it goes through the hole and 'clicks'. Not using glue.
Kudos!

If you don't push the plastic piece in until it clicks it will throw a malfunction error at your Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Indicator - you'll also notice that the brakes are tighter to push and it's harder to keep acceleration, that's because that space not pushed in all the way is just enough to engage the braking system. (Because of all that I would make sure it's a Kia part, that one you have there is a Honda part. Kia has a hollowed out portion in the middle of the plastic piece. To make that work properly you'd have to grind the edges down - and hope for the best.)
