To start, you should use a clean towel or cloth to wipe down the reel of any dust and dirt.
This will help prevent any potential dust/dirt/debris from getting in the internals of the handle.

Next, loosen the cap of the reel handle by turning it counterclockwise, and once it has become loose enough gently pull the cap out and put it to the side.
Place the cap on a flat surface facing up so it does not roll away and potentially gather debris on the greased/lubricated gears.

Next, firmly grab hold of the handle and pull the handle straight back to remove it from the body of the reel.

Now, you can either bring a new/replacement handle to the reel or switch the handle to the opposite side of the reel body.
Then, gently insert the handle back in until it is fully in the body of the reel.

Now grab the handle cap insert it back into the reel on the opposite side of the handle, and turn it clockwise until it is firmly locked in.
Be sure not to try and forcefully turn the cap after it stops moving or you may risk jamming/breaking the cap or gears.

Lastly, crank the handle several times to ensure that it is moving and turning smoothly.
