Sometimes the filter button can become jammed or broken. This guide shows how to take the housing apart and replace the filter button within the Black and Decker BDH9600CHV.
One thing to be aware of would be that the screws are deep within the outside of the housing so an extender could be needed to get to the screws.

To remove the filter and housing, press the green button labeled "Filter".

Unscrew and remove all 5 screws using the Phillips 0 screw bit. Each screw is 17.5 mm long.

Pull the housing apart.

Note when the housing is taken apart some parts may fall out be sure to keep track of any parts that come out.

Remove the filter button by pulling it out.

After a year of very light use, it was working great. Now I have been facing some troublesome it’s shutting down frequently as like after about a minute. I bought a new filter and it is still shut down. Kept on the charger all the time. Do you have any idea actually what is going wrong with it? Or do you have any suggestion which would be best for pet hair?
