The motherboard of the Canon Powershot Pro1 plays a crucial role in its overall function because it contains a large percentage of the camera’s circuitry. Damage to the motherboard makes the camera nearly useless and results in a variety of issues. This guide can help you replace your damaged motherboard with a new, functional one. Be careful when removing the ribbon cables and connectors. Also, be sure to place the connectors into their designated position.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the right hand side of the camera. The cover features the text: “CF/BATT.OPEN”.

  7. Lift the inside cover off to reveal the motherboard. To completely detach the cover from the motherboard, you must detach the bottom right ribbon cable.
