Using a PH00 screwdriver, wire cutters and a soldering station, this guide will show the steps necessary to replace the ball motor.

    • Remove one 9.2mm (0.36 in) screw using the PH00 screwdriver.

    • Remove the battery cover by pulling it away from the vacuum once the 9.2mm (0.36 in) screw is removed.

    • Remove batteries from the vacuum by pulling them out and away from the vacuum.

    • Remove all seven 9.2mm (0.32 in) screws on the back of the vacuum.

    • Separate the battery compartment from the ball and bead cylinder by sliding the vacuum ball away from the battery compartment.

    • Remove the three 11.5mm (0.45 in) screws at bottom of bead cylinder container using the PH00 screwdriver.

    • Remove the bead cylinder and motor mount from the vacuum ball.

    • Separate the motor mount from the bead cylinder by pulling the motor mount away from the bead cylinder.

    • Separate the fan from the motor shaft by pulling the fan away from the motor.

    • Cut the wires to the faulty motor using wire cutters.

    • Solder the new ball motor's wires to the vacuum's wires which were previously cut.
