Open the chuck jaws to the largest diameter. Remove the interior chuck screw using the T20 Torx screwdriver.

Insert the Allen wrench into the chuck jaws and tighten the jaws down on the wrench.

Hit the Allen wrench with a mallet or hammer to loosen and remove the chuck.

Hit the Allen wrench from above. Chuck spindle threads are conventional and loosen counter-clockwise.

Remove the chuck from the drill.

Check chuck and chuck mount for damages or debris.

If replacing chuck, attach new chuck and check functionality.

If clearing debris from a jam, make sure chuck mount is clear before reaataching the chuck and checking functionality.

I agree with Jan. This does not make sense to me and i have been twisting this stupid thing for 3 days.
Your comment ‘The chuck screw is reverse threaded, which means you will need to unscrew it counterclockwise. ‘ is nonsense.
A normal screw is counterclockwise to unscrew.
What you meant to say was
‘The chuck screw is reverse threaded, which means you will need to unscrew it clockwise. ‘
You might also like to add the the screw is often coated with loctite and very difficult to remove. A high quality tool and plenty of force may be required to remove this screw.
I think the clockwise thing wasn’t that hard to understand, but personally, my chuck screw was actually quite easy to remove so it wasn’t a problem for me

Here’s a short video on how to fix a chuck on drill. The screw that holds the chuck to the drill broke and needed to be extracted, and replaced.
