This is an in depth instruction manual to replace the baseplate for your Dell Latitude 9510 laptop. The baseplate, also known as a backplate, is used to protect the inner electronics of the computer from small drops and spills. This is a common replacement due to dropping the device or improperly removing the backplate making it break.

Flip the device so that the base plate is facing you.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the nine 5.5 mm screws securing the base plate.

Wedge a spudger between the base plate and the chassis, then gently pry around the entire perimeter to release the base plate.

Remove the base plate.
