This repair guide will direct a beginner or intermediate bike enthusiast through all the steps needed to replace a damaged or broken spoke on a bicycle.
The bicycle used in the fix was a GT Men's Aggressor Pro Mountain Bike. The steps in the guide were specifically designed for this bike model. Please note that even though most mountain bikes would require the same steps, some small discrepancies in parts on other bikes may make this fix unsuccessful on different models.
This guide only applies to the front wheel as the steps to removing the wheel differ on the back wheel. If taking the back wheel off and putting it back on is not an issue, steps 4-17 are the same for the rear wheel. It is important to note that this fix will be much easier with a friend or in a group; doing it alone can pose challenges.
