Prepare your AA batteries and flat head screwdriver before changing the battery.

Use your flathead screwdriver to pry your Kwikset door lock cover open.

Push up on the cover.

Slide the cover up to display the battery storage area.

Grab the top of the battery storage area.

Pull the battery storage area out of the device.

Remove all four batteries from the battery storage area.
