If motor plugs should have been factory default, they was going to build it that way … now, because I watch your series of Truth about the TELLO I was unable to see properly the whole from the frame, when your motor simply broke from the tello frame, can you please share detailed picture about it, I mean if I’m going to change a motor I’ll do it like a pro and I will solder it like a stock factory stock, not doing such ugly stupid things like you did on your video …. So please share if the motors are plugable like or the simply broke the soldered contact and that’s why the motor simply fall down ? Thanks in advance …

Hey cpurage, the motors are not plugged in stock form. They are soldered to the flight controller, and the solder joints are covered with silicon. When the motor is ejected in a crash, the wires snap near the motor.

If you can are able to route the wires from a replacement motor through the frame and solder them onto the stock solder pads, more power to you! With some modeling and soldering experience, that will be easy for you.

You can use these motors: https://micro-motor-warehouse.com/produc...

They have the same internals, but longer wires.

This guy has method that doesn’t require a ugly plug dangling outside…
