Use a #0 Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four small black screws from the back of the device.

Once the screws have been removed, proceed to take off back cover.

Use a #0 Phillips screwdriver to remove the four small silver screws from the outside corners of the battery housing.

Now gently pry the front cover off. A Black Spudger can be used to assist in the removal of the cover.

Gently separate the mainboard from the battery housing. This may be difficult around the headphone jack. Use a spudger if necessary.

Pull the motherboard out and down away from the top of the phone.

Peel off the small foam rectangle on the back of the mainboard and set to the side.

Peel off the black tape and set off to the side.
