In this guide, you will learn how to remove and replace the Hard Drive from your laptop. If you have this exact laptop, follow the below steps. If you have another laptop, that is still okay, these steps will give you a basic understanding on how to remove the Hard Drive and you can adapt them to your own computer.

    • Make sure your device is powered off and unplugged to avoid electric shock.

    • Place your device upside down with the bottom panel facing upwards.

    • Orient the device so the battery is away from you as shown

    • Unlock the battery by sliding the lock switch to the right.

    • Locate the release latch. Slide the latch to the left to remove the battery from your laptop.

    • Be sure to lift up on the battery while you slide the latch to the left.

    • Remove the battery from your laptop.

    • Remove the two 4.8mm screws that are holding the bottom right panel cover.

    • Remove the Panel cover by lifting it up.

    • Remove the two 4.8mm screws that are holding the hard drive down.

    • Grab the black tab that is attached to the hard drive.

    • Slide hard drive to the left to release it from the computer

    • Pull drive up from there and it will come out.
