Be prepared to unscrew some of the screws on the foot pedal and make sure to keep those screws somewhere safe as you continue following the steps. Keep in mind that you may need to acquire a new foot pedal if need be.

    • Unplug the coiled wire from back of upper assembly.

    • Remove foot pedal from base assembly.

    • Remove the two Phillips size J0 screws holding the cover plate on the top of the foot pedal.

    • If this small sensor is broken, it is time to buy a new foot pedal and replace the broken one.
