Everything that falls to the left of the zero on the tuner is flat, and everythingflat. Everything that falls to the right of the zero is sharp. In this particular case, the note must be raised until the zero is reached. So,
[* black] Turn
the tuning peg must be turned counter clockwisecounterclockwise to raise the notepitch of the string.
[* black] Continue to raise the pitch as necessary. If your string becomes too sharp, proceed to Step 12
