Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the power button press connector from the middle of the motherboard's top edge.

To re-attach press connectors like this one, carefully align and press down on one side until it clicks into place, then repeat on the other side. Don't try to force the connector into place. A misaligned connector can bend the pins and cause permanent damage.
