Repair-O’-Lantern 2024

Warning: We know it's scary, but due to popular demand we conjured this up at the last minute—so don't ghost us by missing the deadline!

Our Repair-O’-Lanterns contest is back!

Get ready for a spook-tacular challenge that’s sure to make you laugh, howl, and maybe even cackle a little!

@cardcraft carved out our awesome repair logo and was also a winner in last’s years contest.

We’re summoning you to unleash your inner DIY pumpkin genius to carve a repair-themed pumpkin for a chance to win some cool prizes.

Okay, enough bad puns. Here’s the nitty gritty.

All submissions must be repair-related (we’re pretty open minded to what this means).

Previous contestants found unique ways to incorporate the repair theme throughout the entire process: Some contestants said that they did all the carving with iFixit tools, while others carved their favorite tool into the pumpkin (presumably not using iFixit tools). And some people even designed and carved out their own personal repair logos; the possibilities are endless.

So basically, as long as the design on your pumpkin is repair-related, we’ll take it!

@beanman56 won by submitting “leaked schematics for the 2024 pumpkins”.

But beware—you’ll have to explain your design if we’re left scratching our heads. But ultimately, even just carving, “Right-to-Repair” will send shivers down the spines of non-repair-friendly manufacturers. So just have fun!

So gather your tools, grab your pumpkin, and join us for a gourd-geous contest (sorry, we couldn’t help that one.)

Once you’ve carved your design make sure to take a picture of your masterpiece and submit it in the link at the end of this post.

The winner will be “treated” to a precision cleaning kit and an electronics cleaning bundle to tackle the most horrifying of messes.

All submissions must be entered by Oct. 31st at 11:59 p.m.

Winners will be announced on  November 1st.

While we’d love to send prizes everywhere in the world, shipping restrictions prevent us from delivering to regions unsupported by our US and EU warehouses.
