Информация об устройстве

As the fourth device in the iPad line, the iPad 4 includes an upgraded charging port—now called the Lightning port—that replaces the Dock Connector port of earlier iPads. Internally, the improvements to the 4th Gen iPad include a 1.2 megapixel FaceTime HD front-mounted camera, a faster processor, and support for dual band/dual stream Wi-Fi. The fourth generation iPad device has a 9.7” touchscreen display with 2048x1536 pixel color IPS LCD and 264 ppi. This iPad model was offered in 16, 32, or 64 GB capacities with color options of white or black.

There are three models of the iPad 4. The Wi-Fi, GSM, and CDMA models were released on November 2, 2012.

Following the announcement of the iPad Air on October 22, 2013, sales of the fourth-generation iPad were discontinued. The fourth-generation iPad was reintroduced on March 18, 2014, following the discontinuation of the iPad 2. In order to make its reintroduction a low-end device to the iPad Air, its price was cut by 20% over its original launch price. On October 16, 2014, the fourth-generation iPad was discontinued in favor of the iPad Air 2; the iPad Air took its place as the entry-level iPad at that time.
