iPod Classic 3G battery replacement

The battery was dead and would not hold a charge.

The repair went as planned. The case was a bear to get opened. I could not get it opened with the tools provided only. I broke one of the two opening tools. I needed a metal screw driver to get the case in an open position and then ran the plastic tool around the edge.

I don't think you can get the first opening in the case with the tools provided.
