my macbook was not charging. Thought it was the charger so went and bought a new charger. This was a generic charger but worked for a little while then went back to not charging again after looking on the internet I found Ifixit went to the repair guides and found the magsafe dc in board repair guide and the part. order the part which was very reasonably priced and was delivered on time. I live in a small town on the western slope of Colorado so there are no mac stores or any repair shops that work on macs so I was stuck doing the repair myself. everything went smooth. thank you I fixit.
The repair went really smooth. I had another pc so I loaded the repair guide on it and followed the steps keeping the screws separated outer case screws from the inner case screws which really helped in the reassembly. all in all the repair took about an hour. It could have been shorter but since I had the computer apart I took the time to clean the inside of dust and deb re. After reassembly I have to I was nervous that this would fix the problem. plug in the charger turned on the mac and
now my mac is charging and everything is working great. Thank you Ifixit
the best advice I can give is take your time and be patient, don't force anything in the removal process and be careful not to over tighten the screws as they are easily stripped.
