How did you clean it? My suggested procedure is to remove the back cover, remove the screws, push on bottom of battery to remove mid frame, carefully remove the motherboard (watch youtube videos on how to get to this point). remove cameras. With water damage you don't have any warranty so it's worth trying the following ideally: -remove metal shields from the area closest to where the battery connector plugs in -soak motherboard in distilled water for a few hours, while submerged scrub with a toothbrush -dry/shake most of the water off, soak in isopropyl alcohol (99% ideally) overnight -again scrub with toothbrush while submerged -optional: run through ultrasonic cleaner -dry out in desiccant, under incandescent light bulb, etc for a day or so. it's important to give it lots of time because some can be trapped under shields -squirt some isopropyl on lcd connector ribbon cable area and lower charging port board, scrub with toothbrush, let dry If this doesn't work, possibly try in this order: -replace...

I am not sure about which other models are exactly similar to sm-g920f but better solutions is to flash stock rom using newest version of ODIN on your pc, samsung usb drivers, and a good samsung usb cable.
Читать далееTry flashing again using odin. I've had this issue also myself (several times) and somehow on 2 of 4 of the cases, some combination of flashing the firmware 4 or 5 times cleared it up. download the stock firmware file again, preferably from a different source. check the md5. this may be obvious, make sure you are flashing the same version or newer, you can not flash older. make sure you are flashing the correct firmware for the model. I have for example seen some motherboards with sm-g920v written on the board, but installed with sm-g920p software. In this case, flashing sm-g92Ov firmware would fail. I believe it was a factory refurbished phone/motherboard. You can also try flashing the firmware file without the cache.img extract and compile (using free software / scripts that you can download online) the firmware .md5 file with only the boot.img and system.img, NOT the cache.img then flash under the ap tab on odin. I am also quite curious about a hardware solution, I believe this is a fairly common issue!...

When you reset, you will still have to log in with the same google account you used on the device previously. there is a way to get around it. watch the youtube video "How to bypass Factory Reset Protection on Samsung devices " by root junkie for a solution. You will need to first factory reset, then hook your phone to a usb thumb drive with an OTG "on the go" usb cable. You can get the otg cable locally or cheap on ebay or amazon. Download the small apk file from the description on the youtube video, and put it on the usb drive. plug the phone into the usb drive with the otg cable, a file explorer will pop up on your phone, and run the apk. the apk basically just opens up "settings" on your phone. once in settings, do a factory reset and you will be good to go. This tricks your phone to thinking the factory reset was done...
Читать далееthat chip can be purchased on alibaba or possibly ebay uk. Used motherboard could be purchased from ebay overseas. However the soldering is very tricky (watch youtube deep fix s6) done with hot air gun. But could be doable. That said, even if the chip is hot, it is not a common one to fail. It could be a short next to it making it seem hot. the power ic under the metal thin strips in your picture, or shorted/corroded battery connector seems much more common
Читать далееThis seems to be a common problem with s6 after water damage, especially 920v (verizon) model. First thing to try is booting into recovery and "clear cache partition" (will not delete your data) If that doesn't work you can try disassembling and cleaning the motherboard with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush, pay special attention to where the battery connector is on the motherboard, look for corrosion, remove some of the metal shields, clean again in distilled water then isopropyl alcohol, let the board dry out in warm area or under lamp/ heat gun completely, then reinstall. in my experience this has about 40% success, if the corrosion is old and looks bad, about 10% or less many after this cleaning process will still reboot / boot loop and it is a hardware/ physical damage problem, very common after water damage, I just don't know where on the board to start troubleshooting if it is not the battery connection on the motherboard. any input of course appreciated. opening your phone will void warranty,...
Читать далееtry charging overnight, different charger, wireless charger, different cable. try cleaning out the usb charger port with air, compressed air, blowing in it, or cleaning out gently with a toothpick. try holding power and volume down for 30 sec try holding power, volume down and home button. if you get a green screen, press volume up, then hold power volume down, and home again for 20-30 sec. Now try to power up normally. try holding power, volume up, home buttons,if you get a menu, then select clear cache partition, then try again but this time select reboot to bootloader or power down try smacking the side of the phone with the power button fairly hard on a paperback book, and jiggling the power button around,or scraping around the edges of power button with a fingernail or razor blade

Boot into recovery power volume up and home and try clearing cache partition (wont delete your files) then in recovery try factory date reset (will delete your files) finally if all else fails flash the stock rom (make sure same version or newer than you are using can't go back) using odin
Читать далееI have seen this on several s6 g920v (verizon) and g920p (sprint). In my experience update or reflash stock rom using odin does not solve the problem. In my case, several, but not all were after water damage. first step is to boot into recovery and try clear cache partition, that will not delete your photos, and may do the trick. You could try downloading the stock rom (make sure you get the same version you are on currently such as og7 ok9 etc) extracting the files from the md5, and using tar-Tool_Odin3-v3.07_by_mkh.mourad to make just the boot.img file into a flashable .md5 file, and flashing that under the bl tab using the newest version of odin. I I believe it is most likely a hardware problem, Any input greatly appreciated on where to check on the motherboard for physical damage that would cause to s6 to boot loop would be greatly appreciated
Читать далееI have a s6 edge 925t recovered from water damage with similar problems, It seems to discharge quickly even when powered off. Replaced bat. I noticed a lot of corrosion around the battery connector on the motherboard, and cleaned as best I could with ipa, ultrasonic cleaner, and tried reflowing the connectors in the area. You really need to get out the microscope or magnifying lens with light and look over the whole board closely to see any possible bridged connections or loose connections. Also check the pins on the flex cables and connectors. Mine worked fine for awhile but now back to discharging the battery when powered off. any input appreciated
