Dan Rivoire arrived at iFixit with extensive experience serving as Council Member Elect with the City of San Luis Obispo and seven years as Executive Director of the Central California based bike advocacy organization, Bike SLO County.
Dan was born in Chicago, IL and attended high school in the western suburbs. He was heavily engaged in extracurricular action throughout his early years with special focus on robotics, speech and debate, science olympiad, and multiple sports. He arrived in California in 2003 where he studied philosophy, gender, and religion and was roped into helping organize community service and public discourse events and quickly developed strong connections to local causes. Since graduation in 2007, he has found himself in numerous leadership positions working to improve quality of life by overseeing government advocacy efforts, community education programs, and a nonprofit bike repair business.
Dan is deeply committed to helping everyone repair everything.
