for a very comprehensive speed up i do the following (1) delete all unused or unwanted programs in the control panel # run a free version of avast then a free version of ccleaner (1) download driverpack and update all your drivers they also do a17gb offline version (2) goto blackviper.com and using his guide stop all the services you dont want (3) defrag the pc (4) if after all of that your pc is still running bad you need a new pc or a new HDD
