Really late to the game … but did anyone of you encounter the issue of the Xeon cpu not being recognised by the Apple > About > Specs? Mine still show i5 but other apps that do cpu query shows the correct Xeon E3-1260L description. Does it matter? After the upgrade, my machine cannot wake up from sleep. Any issue with the macOS waking up the Xeon because it is not giving it the right opcode or something?
@ Fake Name “This means you can only use Apple's own hard drives and not any standard after-market SATA drive.”
I think there’s no other way to read that line except that it is saying that “you can ONLY use Apple’s own hard drives and NOT ANY STANDARD after-market SATA drive.” … which is plain wrong as inthatribe states.
