I changed the digitizer on my iPad 2 and it worked fine. When I changed the digi, and got it back together I found out I...

The wifi antenna is a flat piece of copper and it screws to the main body and tapes to the digitizer. If you haven't taken off a digitizer before you almost certainly tore it off.its too easy to,tear off. If you are getting a weak signal you most definitely tore it or pulled the plug, loose. Most likely tore it. The only way to fix it is to take it back apart. Changing the wifi antenna is somewhat tricky. Not that you can't do it but the digitizer cable seems easy to mess up in the process. If you aren't comfortable doing it.,there is a great place in Kalamazoo mi. That can fix you up in no time.. Which iPad do you have ? I have an extra wifi antenna if you have the ipad2

I'm sure they maybe plugged them into something but did they check the entire area for dead spots? I doubt it..I finally sent my iPad to Rapid repair in Kalamazoo Michigan and in an hour it was finished and it works fine. The problems you are having could be a bad screen or in my understanding if you aren't extremely careful you can mess up the digitizer cable ruining a brand new digitizer. Also, did you get your broken digitizer off without tearing the wifi cable?? If you tore the cable you will have no wifi..

I would say with digitizers you pretty much get what you paid for. I know a guy that bought 2 at around 40.00 a piece and the both had dead spots in them..the company won't take them back now of course..

Other than that, use a heat gun to soften the adhesive and be careful and patient and with the guides on here and YouTube you can do it. Watch at least a couple different ones first so you get a good idea of what needs to be done. And no, I would not call it a "very easy fix" it can lead to more problems and issues if you aren't very careful. But if you are somewhat mechanically inclined you should be able to do it.

I could definitely be wrong. I'll be anxious to see some other answers to your question. I recently had to have a digitizer replaced along with a wifi antenna after my digitizer started having dead spots in it. I attempted it, but still had dead spots so I sent it Rapid repair in Kalamazoo Michigan and in two hours I was back in business. Those guys are amazingly fast..
Читать далееYou probably need a new LCD screen or a new digitizer, or both. It also possible the one of the screen connectors came loose. You can eithe fix it yourself or take it in to be repaired. If you take it in it will COST,!..I'm pretty sure warranty won't cove drops...if they know it wad a drop..
Читать далееI suppose you could but I don't see any way you can do the entire area properly without the first lines of glue cooling and then not sticking. That stuff cools fairly fast. If you had a way to do the entire perimeter neatly and very fast you maybe could...
Читать далееIt looked to me when I opened mine that it serves no other purpose than a trim piece. Mine wasn't rubber, it's plastic and it broke but I just made sure it was in place when I put it back together.it worked fine..of course you could order a new one, or I think you could eliminate it all together if you are talking about the plastic strip that runs around the glass on the digitizer screen...

When you replaced the screen , if there was too much tape put on, the button won't sit low enough to make contact, or if there was not enough tape the screen may not sit close enough to make contact again because when I replaced mine, I didn't have enough tape to hold it tight against the chassis. If it worked before you changed the screen I doubt it went bad just by removing it. Either way you will probably have to take it apart again. Since you have to take it apart again, you could remove the screen, remove the button from the screen and just put the button on the area on the iPad where it should sit and see if you can get a response out of it. It's possible the screen isn't exactly in the same place it was put at the factory when you took it off and put in back on. Since there are no wires to connect to the button it has to sit exactly on the contact points in order to...
Читать далееI'm no expert but it sounds very similar to many re chargeable items I've had that have done the same thing and it was always that the pins that the charger/ cable plug into, or aka the connection port is damaged in some way. It shouldn't be a big deal to change with all the info available on here and other sites like you tube. Just be very carefully when you take the screen off not to damage any ribbon cables or the wifi antenna or anything close to the screen surface. It's probably out of warranty so it will cost a bit to send it in if you don't want to fix it yourself. I had my iPad 2 quoted for digitizer screen replacement and it was going to cost 200.00 to 250.00 or more so I decided I could try to fix it myself. If I couldn't I probably wouldnt be any worse off since I would have to send it in, but, I am somewhat mechanically inclined..hope that helps..let us know what you find out...
