Answer to "frayed wire connection between laptop and screen, how to replace?"do you mean the wire that connects from the wireless card into the inside of the screen? if so you need to remove the screen and in the back of it you will see the wireless wires. usually they are just glued since they only serve as antennas.
Answer to "My USB only works when under pressure"are the batteries good in the mouse? have you try another USB port or use it in another computer? is very rare that dust or hairs get under the buttons in a wireless mouse but if you could open it you can check. There is a little button under the plastic when you press the right or left buttons. So applying pressure indicates that the button under is being press but there is something underneath preventing the signal to the mouse to respond. The mouse could also beginning to go bad.
Answer to "Why can't I update my iPhone 6"It seems that the phone is still recognized by a PC, right? Any specific error from i tunes? What is the OS in the PC? when you plugged the phone e.g if windows 10 it will try to trabsfer e.g photos to your PC from the phone. Could be the PC is infected, run an antyi-virus. Answer to "The keyboard lights up but the keys do not type or do anything."Have u checked the device manager as suggested by martijn? it is a good idea to provide with more information. Like what happened before the problem. For example pc was working fine yesterday, this morning when i turned it on the problem shows up. Try to use an external keyboard but first If you are on windows 10 and can still get to the desktop do the following if the mouse still works. If the keyboard works after that then i will say ur pc is...
Answer to "Won’t turn on"Your laptop (maybe an HP or Dell) has a problem with the video card or cpu. Turn the laptop on and touch any other key. Determine the pattern of the blinks. For example an HP DV6 or7 blinks once and pause and again, or 2 blinks and pause. Then with the model of ur laptop go the the manufacture website and find more information about the blinks. Like an HP dv6 ca[s linking indicates and this is most of the time graphic card problem, although HP will say it is the CPU. P.S. Sometimes disassemble the entire laptop and when assemble again makes it work and if it does save your data because the problem will come back. P.S. When posting give as much information as possible e.g pc was working yesterday and now the problem or i left the pc on sleep or hibernation and the problem, etc.
Answer to "Why does my screen turn to different colors when I go to sleep."if you have an external monitor set windows to display on both. Do the same put it to sleep and back on again. does the monitor displays the white, green and blue lines ? if so Try to disable the sleep mode and then shut it down down. turn on again and see if the problem persists without the monitor. you might have a loose LCD cable. I don’t think there is a problem with windows or a virus but it wouldn’t get hurt to run your anti-virus software.
Answer to "Why is my screen going black after boot-up? Its like my GUI is funky."have you tried another AC? if draws a lot of power because is defective that might be the reason. can you remove the hard disk and battery, turn of the pc and after the logo press the F2 key. this gets you into what is called the “Bios”. Leave on for 10 minutes or more and see if the screens gets black. if it does turn it off and back again this time press the F12 and the F5 for diagnostics. Run a full diagnostics. If it is good then and if you can get a new hard disk and install the OS, nothing else. After you finish the installation turn it on and let on for 10 or more minutes. see what happens. As a technician i could do more trouble shooting but that requires that i have the pc with me. i am not trying to get any business from you. Here on ifixit i give free advice that might help solve the problem.
Answer to "I need a good DC jack replacement guide."To start (if both laptops are identical) take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhyi4_i7.... It seems that the jack is a cable not soldered. ===================================================== if they are not identical anyway the video will give you an idea of how to get to the jack. if it is a cable it has a sticker with the model number. if it is soldered you best shot is take it to a repair store.

Answer to "Why my screen showing black in green"Hi, it could be the cable that connects to the logic board and the LCD screen, but if the full assembly already included this cable then:" have you try to reset the PRAM and SMC"?. You can see the desktop ok in an external monitor so it is not the graphics card(controller), i have not notice that apple MacBook pro's have an inverter like PC's. in a PC if the inverter is bad then you will have those problems even with a new LCD screen. Also there could be a small chance that even if the replacement is "new" that might be defective.
