Go into your home router setup and make sure the IP address isn’t blocked, or that you haven’t exceeded the number of attached devices allowed. There may be fixed IPs assigned by the router that you’re laptop is conflicting with. Also check the type of security used, as the laptop may be trying to use a different version of (e.g.) WPA than the router is set to use with new attached devices.
Before you use any solvents, take a clean, old soft toothbrush and gently scrub over the speaker ports. Its good to do this periodically because of lint and accumulations anyway. Normally the screen catches most debris, and the toothbrush will brush them out gently. Make sure it doesn’t have old, dried toothpaste residue, or you just exacerbate the issue. Compressed air may help, but don’t point it directly into the speaker as you can damage the diaphragm.
The screen is certainly fixable/replaceable, but you might question whether it is cost effective in light of updating to a new phone or finding a good-condition used replacement. Screen replacements of the digitizer assembly assuming the underlying LCD is not damaged on older iPhones are approximately what a new-to-you used phone might cost at certain locations such as Mobile Madness chain stores. You best bet is to drop by your Apple store and get an estimate, and then do some comparison shopping.
There is a small black (might be white) reset button on the top right of the ice maker as you are looking at it. Depress that with a finger until you hear the chime. Ice maker is now reset and should start.
Actually, I just tried (for lack of anything better) some Flitz rubbing/polishing compound (states it’ll do glass on back). Using a microfiber cloth that comes with every electronic device, and a small dab of Flitz, and some finger pressure in 85 directions and multiple doses of new polish, then gradually, over time, the glass cleaned up real nice. It’s not perfect, but this isn’t my main tablet for use or for pictures so it was more of a “project”. Love these tablets by the way. Very easy to work on, simple designs, and so many uses.
