Black and Decker PHV1810 Troubleshooting

If the hand vac does not power on then plug it up to its charger. Then, look for a charging light, and if it is not blue then look for debris in the connection ports. If that does not fix it, then the charger could be malfunctioned.

Also, if the hand vac is not powering on and the connection is clear and the light is blue, then you could possibly have to replace the batteries.

If there is dust escaping from the dust bowl you must open the container and take out the seal. Try cleaning the seal and the compartment to get a better seal so dust will not escape.

If you clean the seal and dust is still escaping, then you need to remove the filter and either clean or replace it.

One problem coming up could be the batteries aren't taking a full charge. If this occurs, then see "Hand Vac will not Power On".

If you have replaced the batteries and the problem is still occurring, then you may have to replace the motor.
