Is your JBL Tune 770NC having trouble connecting to your device, or not showing up as an eligible device to pair? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Bluetooth Chip Damaged
A primary cause for Bluetooth malfunction is that the Bluetooth chip is damaged within the device. This can result from mishandling/misconstruction in the factory, or it can result from rough handling via the user. You can have the headphones repaired, or in most cases the device comes with a warranty and can be replaced by JBL.
Wiring Is Not Making Contact to Bluetooth Chip
Similar to damage to the Bluetooth chip, the wires powering and connecting it to the rest of the device might be damaged or disconnected. This will render the chip inoperable until the wires are repaired. This issue is possible to repair by yourself, via rewiring or soldering, but a tech repair shop will also be able to perform this repair.
User Did Not Properly Performing Bluetooth Pairing Procedures
Another reason for Bluetooth not working could be failure to properly pair it with your device. Make sure that the given Bluetooth pairing instructions have been followed, as the process might not work if all steps have not been completed. You can find the Bluetooth connection instructions in the Owner's Manual.
Device Not Bluetooth Compatible With JBL 770NC's
In some rare cases, the device that you are trying to connect to your JBL headphones may not be compatible. This could be a result of differing Bluetooth versions, or profile versions. You can find the JBL 770NC Bluetooth specifications on page 13 of the Owner's Manual.
