Resetting the tablet will remove all data and install a new copy of the Android operating system. We strongly recommend backing up the data on your device before following this step. Select "Apps > Settings > Privacy > Factory Data Reset > Reset Tablet > Erase Everything." The tablet will now restart. Follow the prompts to set up your Google account, and then turn off the device. Remove and reinsert the SIM card with this guide and then power the device on again to see if the SIM card is now being detected.
The SIM card port is damaged or filled with debris
If the “No SIM card detected” message is still displayed, even after reinserting the SIM card, then there may be dust particles lodged within the tablet’s SIM card slot. Make sure the device is powered off, and then remove the SIM card to clean the port using this guide. If the issue is not resolved, then the SIM card may be faulty and it needs to be replaced.
The SIM card is faulty
To test if your SIM card is faulty, remove the SIM card and insert it into a smartphone or another tablet. If the other device detects the SIM card, then the problem lies within the Samsung tablet (see heading above). If the other device does not detect the SIM card, then the card has likely failed and needs to be replaced. Follow this guide to remove and replace the SIM card.
