If the iPhone is making the charging sound, but not displaying anything, there are a few possibilities.
The first is if you did not disconnect the battery, or did not fully disconnect it before starting your repair. This means that when connecting up the screen you have fried the backlight to the phone, rendering it impossible to use. This requires a board level repair.
The second is more common, the connectors have not been fully “clicked” into place. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the screen.
The third is that you have caused long screw damage. To try and prevent repairs that aren’t certified by Apple, screws in many places (including the bracket over the LCD connectors) are different lengths. This means that putting a screw in that is only 1mm longer will go through and damage the logic board. Again, this requires a logic board repair.
