I was tasked with erasing and disposing of this phone (and an SIII), and I do not know if it supports VoLTE 100% - my initial checks (T-Mo IMEI checker- hard no, as it uses weird bands being an early 4G phone, Mint Mobile says no and [link|https://sim-usa.mobi/phone-compatibility-check/|sim-usa.mobi]) point to a hard no, but I’m not 100% sure because I do not know for sure as these are very approximate.
I’m not going to take this phone to AT&T as I likely know it’s a hard no, but I’m just wanting to see if it’s going to hold up after the 3G shutdown in 2022. The SIII I was tasked with checking is not which I know, but I have to get the owner’s photos off and get them to her before I erase it too. Does anyone know if this phone will work with VoLTE or is it at the end of the line?
If it isn’t I’ll be a little burned here, as I did the S-OFF mod and SIM unlocked it with an exploit when I was younger so even then, I might just be tempted to “forget” to check it. The owner doesn’t know.
