The lid will not come off
i have tried everything to get the lid off the playstation 3 slim and will not come off at all. what should i do?

I don't know why no one will answer this question clearly, this is the third forum I've seen without it. There is a HIDDEN screw, even sneakier than the ones under the black square pieces - it's underneath a BLACK STICKER WITH TEXT ON IT, right on the bottom of the PS3, hiding in plain sight. You have to PEEL OFF THE BLACK STICKER to reveal another of those black plastic squares, which after removed will reveal the final screw. (caps for clarity)

I've seen "remove the seal", but that doesn't convey what you're looking for. Again, on the bottom of the PS3 where all the other screws were, close to the center, there's a black sticker with text on it. You have to peel that sucker off, and voila. You're not crazy, I'd guess probably 82% of people fall for this like I did, because it's a total curveball. Like a trapdoor under a rug.

Make sure all screws are taken out. There is one that is under the seal. That one is usually the one that people forget to take out.

i took out all the screws even the software but the lid would come off from the front where you insert the disc only the back of it would come off. any recommendations please?

You prob missed a screw. Look at the guide on here and make sure you did it correctly.
Or just jerk it real hard. It'll come off

i did that i have used a tool to ply the front top lid off of the PlayStation and it will not come off at all
any idea what i can still do?
I hade the same problem There's one more hidden screw found out the hard way
