i woke up one morning after my iPod was on the charger all night and my iPod was dead, or so it seams. my computer will not recognize it exists and my portable DVD player wont recognize it. none of my chargers are bad but it still wont charge. whats wrong with it?

jacob horning, This could be as minor as a bad battery to as involved as a bad logic board. I would start by replacing the battery and checking the dock connector. Of course you do want to first make sure that you have a known good cable, and to check your dock connector to make sure that there are no bend, broken, or corroded pins. Use these guides to work on your iPod.

Guys i have a similiar issue as Jacob, my ipod shows the battery on display when it is connect. The battery keep red all the time and do not get charged, should i replace the battery? or should i check the logic board first??

How old is the battery? If it is the original battery, I'd suggest you start with that.
I´ve never chnaged the battery, i bought a new battery from ebay. It will reach brazil around Feb then when replaced i tell you guys if it worked or not.
