Is my battery still good?

recently my droid razr fell out of my pocket and into the toilet. We took it apart to put it in rice. The battery was a bit of a struggle and my daughters boyfriend pulled it out...it still is not working. After looking at it closer, my fiance and I think the connector point (where you unscrew the 2 screws) was ripped in 2 its in 2 pieces. He didnt take the screws off. How can I fix this? Just get a new battery? Please help me and thank you for your time..
