How can I fix my buzzing ear speaker?

My Droid 4 has a buzzing/blown sound in the ear speaker (not speakerphone speaker). It kinda sounds like the person is talking through a kazoo.

I understand the problem with the Droid 4's ear speaker may not be the speaker at all, but with adhesive holding it to something else. At least it appears the Droid Incredible had this issue.

Has anyone fixed their Droid 4's ear speaker, and if so, how?
