Rear camera motherboard water damage what to do?
An Iphone 4 got drained by milk a couple of months ago.
I just let it dry out for a couple of days and afterwards removed the -horrendously smelling - milk restants from within the iphone. No damage to the enclosed parts was done after checking.
As for now everything seems to work again except for the rear facing camera and the LED flashlight. (Well the flash works sometimes in a flashlight program for a second and then turns off)
I've replaced the rear camera and LED flashlight with a new part but that did not fix it.
I believe it has something to do with the motherboard, a burned part on the circuitboard/motherboard. The part is indicated (on a clean motherboard) to show which parts are damaged.
These look like some capacitors or resistors? Does anyone have a clue?
Is there some way to repare this part? or what would happen if I would just shortcircuit this? Could this be a possible fix?
Are there any other options besides replacing the motherboard?
any other suggestions?
PS: front facing camera works fine, just hard to access through camera app (as it automatically asks for the rear camera first)...
