What causing vertical lines on the screen
My PowerBook G4 recently has vertical lines on screen and will increase in width to 3/4 inch, and change to color green.

Faulty LCD cable, LCD or logic board seem most likely.
Does the symptom change if you move the screen on it's hinge? Or does it get worse with time/temperature?

Known issue with video chip
Sounds like the solder is failing - could extend the use of it for a while with re-balling or the fire fix.
