Is it worth it to try and fix this?

Hi All,

I've got an iPad 4 that my friend gave me to fix, seeing as I've fixed a couple of iPhones in the past. (He got it from a friend, who tried to fix the screen himself, tore it apart, and gave up). I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light onto what parts I'm missing, what parts should be replaced, or anything along those lines, based on pictures.

I appreciate any and all help I get!

I've only ever fixed a few iPhone 5's --> I realize that iPad is very different.

The touch panel and LCD screen of iPad can be separated and replaced respectively alone. You have open the touch panel, then remove the related screws and you can lift up the LCD screen easily(careful to release the flex connector.)iPad 4 Wi-Fi Teardown

And at last, you can place the new LCD screen. Remember to plug the connector tightly and check the LCD screen at the same time, also remember to replace with new adhesive sticker along the touch panel.

Thanks alot for this! What about the home button? It seems in the teardown that it's a relatively delicate component, but in this iPad its ripped right out of the home button housing. Would I need a new ribbon cable for this?

The home button and flex will come with the disassemble touch panel, so you don't have to prepare another cable unless you break it. So take easy
