Why is my display tinted purple and fuzzy?

iPad 2 Wi-Fi EMC 2560

Updated version of the original iPad 2, released in March of 2012 with a smaller die processor and updated internal construction. Repair will require the use of heat and careful prying.

Why is my display tinted purple and fuzzy?

For no apparent reason, the display on my iPad has a purple and turquoise hue, with horizontal lines through the icons. It is also fuzzy but still readable. Everything else seems to work properly.

I have the same issue. It was ok one night & the next morning the home screen pic was distorted & fuzzy. Now its green, purple & fuzzy. I called a local repair shop. They said it sounded like the LCD went out.

I checked the forum. Someone said to turn it over on the back. Slap it hard on the left side middle to top. I tried it once & it didn't work. I tried a little harder & it's back to normal!
