No standby light. push button to turn on green light comes on then goes off

It may be missing a hard drive or some parts are missing on the PS3.

Do you have red light and when you press button it goes green for couple of seconds then shuts down, and no light is displayed at all?

I have the same problem. When my PS3 has the red light on and I try reset the console, the green light turns on and immediately goes off. This could be the power supply? or, you think this is a problem with the hard drive?
